• Amanda Romano

    DIRECTOR/TEACHING FACULTY

    Amanda is a passionate educator, choreographer, and lifelong learner, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of dancers and performers. She is a certified personal trainer through ISSA, and holds certifications through Acrobatic Arts (Module 2), and in Aerial Hoop, and continually seeks opportunities to grow both artistically and technically. Amanda believes in fostering a studio environment that celebrates dancers as both artists and athletes.

    In the winter of 2024, Amanda founded Activate Dance and Circus School, opening its first location in 2025 with a vision to create an inclusive, innovative space for movement and creativity.

    Amanda’s dance journey began at the age of 3 in her hometown of Hamilton. She started competing at 7 and continued through to the end of high school, training extensively in jazz, tap, ballet, acro, hip hop, musical theatre, lyrical, and contemporary. She completed her Advanced PAEC exams in jazz, tap, and ballet, and had the opportunity to perform internationally in Italy and Spain.

    As a competitive dancer, Amanda earned numerous awards, scholarships, and accolades—success she now shares with her students, many of whom she has coached to similar achievements. She was actively involved in her studio’s assistant teacher program, eventually becoming a full instructor by her graduating year, and also contributed to her high school’s competitive dance team.

    In November 2024, Amanda took the stage as Fritzie in KW Musical Productions’ rendition of Cabaret, showcasing her versatility as a performer.

    Outside the studio, Amanda holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Education from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is thrilled to combine her love of dance, circus, and business to bring Activate Dance and Circus School to life.

  • Faith Proner

    TEACHING FACULTY

    With over 20 years of dance experience, Faith is a dynamic and accomplished educator whose teaching blends technical excellence, artistic expression, and deep care for each dancer’s physical and personal growth.

    Trained as a competitive dancer in various styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary, musical theatre, and acrobatics, Faith brings a versatile and comprehensive skillset to the studio. She has completed extensive RAD ballet examinations up to Advanced 1 level, and has performed in productions such as The Nutcracker and Hansel and Gretel with the Cuban National Ballet. As a dancer, Faith has competed  across Canada and the United States at the national level.

    Faith holds an Honours Degree in Biomechanical Engineering, with a focus on body mechanics and kinesiology, and is currently completing a Master of Teaching from the University of Toronto. Her background in biomechanics and education gives her a unique lens as a dance instructor, allowing her to integrate safe training practices, strong pedagogy, and a deep understanding of physical development into every class.

    For over half a decade, Faith has taught and choreographed across recreational and competitive programs, winning multiple choreography awards and mentoring dancers to thrive both on stage and in life.

    Faith is also a certified Fitness Instructor, Youth Exercise Specialist, and Sugarfoot Therapy dance training member, making her especially equipped to support the strength, mobility, and injury prevention needs of young dancers. Upcoming, Faith will be training under award-winning choreographer Dawson Lloyd with the Impetus Movement Dance Company in Toronto, continuing to refine her artistry and expand her choreographic perspective.

  • REBECCA TURNER

    TEACHING FACULTY

    Born in Windsor, Ontario, Rebecca received her dance training at the Janice Brode School of Dance where she trained in both the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and British Association of Dancing (BATD) curriculums. She danced with the Windsor City Ballet becoming the youngest full member in the dance company's history. With the Windsor City Ballet, she performed many genres of dance including, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern and Polish in the company's annual performances as well as dancing for Hospice, Art in The Park and on CBC television. 

    Rebecca received her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies from the Royal Academy Of Dance, London England in 2008 and has successfully prepared and entered students into RAD examinations. Some of her students have gone on to dance with The National Ballet of Canada, The Joffrey Ballet and Alvin Ailey.

    Her competitive choreography (solos and groups) have won many overall, choreography and costume awards. She has also completed the Professional Adjudicators Alliance (PAA) training.

    Rebecca’s love of dance and enthusiastic approach to teaching makes her an asset to any dance classroom and she looks forward to sharing her love and passion for dance with the students and staff.

  • Siena Corsini

    TEACHING FACULTY

    Siena Corsini has been dancing since the age of three, beginning her training at CM Dancing. Over the years, she has developed a versatile foundation in styles including hip-hop, lyrical, acro, jazz, contemporary, ballet, and tap. Siena’s passion for dance has taken her across North America, training in cities like Los Angeles and New York under some of the industry’s most renowned choreographers.

    Her love for teaching began at age 17 when she became captain of her high school dance team and began choreographing routines. What started as a leadership role soon expanded into choreographing for other high schools, further deepening her commitment to sharing dance with others. Siena is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts through the Concurrent Education program at Brock University, where she is also a member of the Badgers Dance Pak.

    Siena’s performance achievements include earning the title of Protégé Runner-Up at Radix 2023, being named an A-List Acrobat at Northern Movement 2016, the CNE 2017 Rising Star Talent Competition Winner, and more. With a strong foundation, dynamic performance experience, and a deep passion for inspiring the next generation, Siena brings energy, creativity, and heart to every class she teaches. She is incredibly excited to work with the students and to help them grow both as dancers and individuals.

  • RYANN DANTES

    TEACHING FACULTY

    Always a dancer at heart, Ryann began her dance journey at just 2.5 years old. Starting with recreational ballet, she quickly progressed to a full-time competitive level, training extensively in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary dance.

    By 2019, Ryann had become a world champion, proudly representing Canada on the global stage at the IDO World Dance Championship in Germany and the Dance World Cup in Portugal. She was also a dedicated member of The Rhythm Ensemble and spent her summers training at renowned dance intensives, including Broadway Dance Center (BDC), Toronto Rhythm Initiative (TRI), and Tap Dance Centre (TDC).

    Currently, Ryann is pursuing her undergraduate degree in Child and Youth Studies and her Bachelor of Education at Brock University, with the goal of becoming a teacher. She is passionate about working with children and youth, and loves sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for learning—both in the classroom and the dance studio. While at Brock, Ryann continues to dance competitively as a member of the university’s varsity team, Badgers Dance Pak, blending her love for dance with her commitment to education and inspiring the next generation.
