Amanda devotes her time to teaching, choreographing, and ever-learning. Professionally, she holds certifications with CLI Studios, as well as Acrobatic Arts with an M2 classification, and in Aerial Hoop. She has a passion for cultivating an environment that showcases that dance creates both artists and athletes.
Amanda set out to create Activate Dance and Circus School in the winter of 2024, opening the studio’s first location in 2025.
Amanda began dancing at the age of 3 in her hometown of Hamilton. She began dancing competitively at the age of 7 and continued until she graduated high school. Amanda trained in jazz, tap, ballet, acro, hip hop, musical theatre, lyrical, and contemporary. She completed her Advanced PAEC exams in jazz, tap, and ballet. Amanda has taken her dancing overseas, traveling with her studio, in Italy and Spain.
Throughout her many years of competing, she has won special awards, overall awards, and scholarships, and now has coached many of her students to do the same. Amanda devoted time to both her studio, and her high school’s competitive dance team. She grew up through her studio’s assistant dance teacher program and worked her way up to becoming a full teacher by her graduating year.
Upcoming, Amanda performed as Fritzie in KW Musical Productions rendition of Cabaret, in November 2024.
She is extremely excited to be sharing her passion here at Activate Dance and Circus School! Alongside dance, Amanda earned her Bachelors of Business Administration with a specialization in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Education through Wilfrid Laurier University.
